I have to say I was a little skeptical from buying here. Distance, frozen, and not familiar with this company at all. Didn’t hear about them until state fair, but skeptical due to frozen meat. Decided to give them a try, free beef was the hook I needed to get me to buy. My first obstacle I had to overcome was distance. I live in Tigard and closest one for me is Salem. 56 minutes took to get there at 5:50 pm. Even coming in late she was friendly and gathered my order quickly. I wasn’t expecting a nice insulated bag, instead of just a box with ice packs. Nice touch. She was friendly and helpful. Asked about what type of season she uses and her go to was salt and paper only. She mentioned that’s how you taste a great steak only without adding any flavors to it. The steak should have great flavors already. I agreed. Pulled the ribeyes out at 6 am to thaw. At room temp opened and seasoned with salt only 2 hours before. Ribeyes at room temp and added pepper. Got the burner nice and hot and threw them on. About 4 minutes each side. Like mine on the rarer side of MR. Pulled them off and let them set for 10 minutes. Took out first byte and omg 😱, it was like butter in out mouth. So tender and flavors bursting throughout the mouth and tongue. The marbling on the meat is fantastic as this made the steak taste so flavorful. We ate the whole steak. Side fixings we barely touched. I’m willing to travel to get more, I hope they do open one up here in Portland as she mentioned at the register. Even though the meat is frozen, it is still fresh and taste fresh when thawed, not freezer burnt. If you’re on the ropes about the meat, don’t be. Give them a try and you will be amazed at the quality of the beef.
